Today, it includes more than 6,100 fire departments that encourage Americans to adopt the lifesaving habit of changing smoke alarm and carbon monoxide batteries when setting clocks back from Daylight Saving Time. B&SC drives program execution and media coverage by coordinating neighborhood canvasses, providing fire safety tool kits for firefighters and blanketing the country with radio media tours, press materials and good old outreach to every corner of just about every market. How else can you boast reach to nearly a quarter of a billion people? (Seriously, that’s practically everyone.)
